Mayor & City Council
Mayor's Message

Dear Residents:
Recent caucus meetings in Pleasant Grove saw record turnouts as our citizens participated in the process of government. We would like to see even greater turnout at an open house that will affect life in Pleasant Grove for generations.
A recent citywide survey confirmed what many residents have been telling us for years: our city needs upgraded facilities, especially in the form of a new fire station, police station, library, performing arts center, and city hall. With this in mind, your elected officials have done preliminary work on planning a new civic center. The open house on April 24 if the very first in a series of open houses and public meetings that will shape this civic center and help determine its course.
The format of this public forum is truly an open house. You are free to come at any time, peruse the information that will be displayed on large posters, and add your insights. We need the input of our entire citizenry, and ask that each of you schedule a few minutes to come and see the progress we’ve made and express your views.
Again, this is just the first of many public meetings we will hold as we fine-tune our plans for a future downtown civic center. We are many meetings away from final decisions, but we want to get as much input as early in the process as possible.
We look forward to seeing you at this open house, and having you be a part of the process. This is your opportunity to be empowered in making decisions that will impact your family, your neighborhood, and your community for many years to come.
Sincerely,
Bruce W. Call
