Pleasant Grove, through private parties, is developing a fully-improved 800 acre business park called The Grove. It is located at exit 275 off of Interstate 15. Within the next 5-10 years The Grove will build out to about 150 office businesses and retail stores. Industry benchmarks indicate that at full build out the 800 acres will provide space for 4,800 jobs. Industry averages indicate that the number employed will support a dozen business-class restaurants. At present there are none.

Downtown

Downtown Pleasant Grove is looking up and it too needs restaurants. Planning, design elements, and marketing initiatives are underway toward achieving the goal of creating a Downtown Village atmosphere. The Village will contain green spaces, sidewalk cafes, period lighting, and entertainment venues. It will be supported by civic and marketing groups which will be branding Downtown and creating events. Pleasant Grove City will be very aggressive in supporting restaurant development proposals for its Downtown Village. Several improved sites and a former restaurant building are available for immediate occupancy.

$10,000 Restaurant Rewards Program

The City is offering a reward for real estate brokers who bring a special class of restaurant to Pleasant Grove. The restaurant profile must project $2M in sales in its business plan for the first year of operations. It must be a full-service, sit-down, business-class restaurant. It may locate anywhere within the City limits of Pleasant Grove to be eligible for the Rewards program. Brokers who bring multiple restaurants which meet the profile will be eligible for multiple rewards. The Restaurant Rewards promotion will end without notice if the City Council decides to rescind the program for any reason. Currently the goals of Pleasant Grove’s Restaurant Rewards program are to encourage a dozen business class, full-service restaurants to The Grove and four additional restaurants meeting the same profile to the Downtown Village.
